- WPT RRPO Championship Two Table Redraw
- Day 3 Action
The most eventful day so far of the 2024 World Poker Tour (WPT) Seminole Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open Championship at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood wrapped up Monday night with Darryll Fish leading the 16 remaining players as the 2018 Lucky Hearts Poker Open champion looks for a second WPT title.
Fish will have his work cut out for him on Day 4 as he faces a table that includes Landon Tice and Dylan Smith, both of whom ran deep in this same venue earlier this year with final table finishes in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.
At the next table over is two-time bracelet winner Alexandre Reard and Matthew Wantman, another player seeking a second WPT title after taking down the 2019 Aria Summer Championship in Las Vegas for $443,475.
Other players among the final 16 include Francis Anderson, Iulian Blebea, Eugene Kotlyarevskiy, Drew O'Connell and Florian Ribouchon.

Day 3 Action
Day 3 of the championship event began with 90 players and the field quickly dropped with all players already in the money.
Some of the early eliminations, as documented by the WPT live reporting team, included six-time bracelet winner Jason Mercier (61st - $13,800) 2022 GPI Player of the Year Stephen Song (45th - $19,400) and Jesse Lonis (29th - $27,500), the current GPI frontrunner.
There were a few notable casualties once the event reached three tables. The "professional short stack" Ren Lin finished in 22nd for $32,500 before the elimination of MSPT Hall of Famer Rich Alsup in 19th place for Richard Alsup $39,000. After that, young pros Andrew Voor and Adam Hendrix were respectively eliminated in 18th and 17th place to take home the same amount to mark the end of the day.
Hendrix finished third in the WPT Choctaw Championship earlier this year for $175,000 and has had several recent deep runs in Seminole main events.
Across the room, poker coach and former WPT POY Faraz Jaka took down the $10,000 Deep Stack event for $313,495 after a grueling three-hour heads-up battle. PokerNewshappened to be around for the victory and grabbed Jaka for an impromptu winner's interview, which can be read about here.
Day 4 will kick off on Dec. 3 at noon local time as the 16 players return to Level 28 with blinds of 75,000/125,000/125,000. There will still be another day of action before the $662,200 top prize is claimed and the next WPT champion is named.
Stay tuned as PokerNewswill be back on-site tomorrow to continue bringing stories from the WPT RRPO festival in South Florida.

- Mastering Rummy: Tips for Winning Every Game 25-01-15
- Discarding a card from a particular suit or rank, for instance, could entice an opponent to pick it up and divert them from their initial plan if you know they are collecting that suit or rank. In addition to upsetting their plans, this strategy gives you important details about the makeup of their hands. With careful & strategic use of discards, players can significantly outplay their rivals. Effective hand management, which combines planning & strategic judgment, is essential in rummy. Gamers should constantly evaluate their hands for possible melds and take into account which cards are high-value liabilities or redundant. 25-01-15
- Knowing how the points are calculated is also very important. The value of the cards determines the winner in the majority of Rummy variations. While face cards (Kings, Queens, & Jacks) are worth ten points each, number cards usually retain their face value. The way that aces are used in a meld determines whether they are worth one point or eleven points. Knowing these guidelines improves gameplay & enables players to make wise choices when it's their turn. 25-01-15
- Sets are composed of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits, whereas sequences are composed of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. You can improve your gameplay considerably by learning to recognize these patterns. You are only one card away from finishing a sequence, for example, if you have a 4, 5, & 6 of diamonds. Knowing this will help you decide which cards to draw and which to discard first. 25-01-15
- Players can minimize potential points in the event that another player declares Rummy by concentrating on making sets and runs as quickly as possible. This will also help them hold fewer unmelded cards. It is also crucial to keep your strategy flexible because it can be a big advantage to be able to adjust to changing conditions. 25-01-15
- This degree of awareness improves your strategic approach & makes it easier for you to predict your opponents' next moves. To win the game, it is essential to declare Rummy at the appropriate time. Before declaring this, players must carefully examine their hands and determine whether they have successfully formed valid melds. Declaring too soon without having enough melds in hand is a common error made by inexperienced players. This can result in needless penalties if another player has a stronger hand or completes their melds later. 25-01-15
- For example, you could decide to change your focus to thwart your opponent's plans if you observe that they are gathering particular cards. Making effective use of your discards is another crucial component of strategy. It may be advantageous to discard valuable cards if you think your opponents won't benefit from them, but it may backfire if you unintentionally give them the last piece they require to finish their melds. It's crucial to monitor which cards your opponents are picking up & discarding as a result. You are better equipped to decide which cards to keep and which to discard when you are aware of this. 25-01-15
- Rummy Ola Fun has rapidly become popular among card game fans thanks to its intuitive interface and lively graphics. The appeal of Rummy Ola Fun is found in both its community feature and gameplay. - Waiting until you have a strong set and run combination improves your chances of winning the round. When it comes to declaring rummy, timing is crucial. Also, take into account the current situation; if opponents appear to be nearing the completion of their hands as well, it might be prudent to wait to declare until you are comfortable with your own melds. 25-01-15
