Days after acquiring the World Series of Poker (WSOP) from Caesars Entertainment, GGPoker has announced the schedule of an online bracelet series that will take place later this month.
The series begins Aug. 17 and runs until Sept. 30, with 33 bracelets to be awarded. Players in the United States are not eligible to compete unless they travel to Canada, Mexico, or another country where the poker site is available.

The 2024 WSOP came to an end in Las Vegas last month with Jonathan Tamayo winning the record-setting 10,112-player Main Event for $10 million and then a couple other online bracelet winners followed on the WSOP Online platform. But there's still more to come, 33 bracelet events in total, starting with the $500 5th Annual WSOP Kickoff on Aug. 18.
One day later, Event #2: 300 Gladiators of Poker features a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool in the no-limit hold'em tournament. The highlight of the month-long series will be the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event, which promises at least $25 million in the pot. Main Event action begins Sept. 23.
Daniel Negreanu, GG's top ambassador, will have a role in the production of the online Main Event, and not just as a player. The Poker Hall of Famer, along with Jeff Gross, will provide some commentary duties during the final table livestream.
Negreanu ended an 11-year bracelet drought this summer to win the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for his seventh bracelet.
Other events of note include a $215 buy-in Mystery Millions tournament on Aug. 26, which has a $1 million top mystery bounty. The $1,500 Millionaire Maker, a longtime WSOP staple, takes place Sept. 9 and guarantees $1 million to the winner. While most events are of the no-limit hold'em variety, there are plenty of non-hold'em tournaments, such as the $5,000 Short Deck Championship (Sept. 10) and the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship (Sept. 17).

- Prioritizing forming runs over sets whenever feasible is one of his main tactics. This preference results from the fact that runs are frequently simpler to finish because cards are sequential. For example, Ares will actively look for an 8 or 4 of hearts to finish his run if he has a 5, 6, and 7 of hearts. This strategy not only speeds up the blending process but also leaves his options open for unexpected turns. Ares can frequently take advantage of opponents' cards that are discarded by concentrating on runs, transforming what could appear to be a disadvantage into an opportunity. 24-12-25
- Over the years, Ares has refined this ability, which enables him to predict the moves of his opponents and modify his gameplay accordingly. Keeping a careful eye on the cards that opponents draw and discard is one of his main strategies. An opponent's concentration on finishing a run or set in a particular suit, for instance, may be indicated if they routinely pick up cards from that suit while discarding others. Ares can decide for himself which cards to keep or discard by identifying these trends early on. Ares stresses not only the significance of watching card movements but also the significance of behavioral cues and body language while playing. 24-12-25
- Any player hoping to get better must comprehend the fundamental guidelines and goals of the game. The goal of the game, which normally has two to six players, is to be the first to create valid melds and place them on the table. With the ultimate objective of lowering the total value of unmelded cards in their hands, players alternately draw and discard cards. 24-12-25

- Mastering Rummy: An Extensive Guide to Ares' Winning Strategies For many years, players have been enthralled with the timeless card game of rummy. Because it combines strategy, skill, and a little bit of luck, it is popular with both casual and competitive players. Rummy is fundamentally about creating melds, which are card combinations that can be runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) or sets (three or four cards of the same rank). 24-12-25
- He might decide to discard one or more of his high-value cards in favor of lower-value cards that would make it easier for him to construct runs or sets, for instance, if he finds himself holding several of them with no immediate chance of melding them. By taking this proactive stance, he reduces the risk involved in holding onto valuable cards while maintaining hand flexibility. The ability to discern when to break up possible mergers for increased strategic advantage is another crucial component of hand management. Dismantling a promising card combination may seem counterintuitive, but Ares understands that doing so occasionally creates new opportunities for more skillful melding of other combinations. He might decide to break up the first combination in favor of pursuing a more advantageous strategy overall, for example, if he recognizes that another suit offers better chances for completing additional melds after holding three consecutive cards in that suit. Ares's ability to adjust and reevaluate his hand consistently distinguishes him as a strong player. 24-12-25
